Meet the Client: Sleaford Town Council
The Government have announced that the UK Town of the Year Award is back! This year Sleaford Town Council would like to create the marketing material for our campaign to get people voting!
We would like you to focus on everything from the main attractions to the hidden gems. Your media campaign should aim to target different demographics to maximise the opportunity for all people to vote for Sleaford!

Unit 3
This aim of this unit is for you to develop knowledge and understanding of the production
processes. You will complete planning materials to take them forward in the production and post–production stages of your intended media product. You will plan, produce and edit original content for your intended product.
- LO1 – Be able to create a proposal with sample materials for an original media
product to a client brief - LO2 – Be able to plan and develop pre-production materials for an original
media product to a client brief - LO3 – Be able to create production materials for an original media product to a
client brief - LO4 – Be able to carry out post-production techniques and processes for an original media product to a client brief
Unit 16
By completing this unit, you will understand the sound elements used in media products and how they are produced. You will be able to develop ideas for, and plan the production of, a soundtrack containing a range of sound elements. You will gain practical skills by recording and editing sound elements for use in the production of a final soundtrack.
- LO1 – Understand how sound elements are used across media industries
- LO2 – Know the techniques and processes used to create sound elements
- LO3 – Be able to plan the production of sound elements for identified media
purposes - LO4 – Be able to record, edit and review sound element.
Unit 21
By completing this unit, you will be able to generate ideas for your own media product based on a client brief, pitch your ideas to a client, and be able to respond to feedback to prepare your idea for pre-production.
