COMPONENT 1

Investigating Media Products

Component 1A

Looking at a range of past and present media products, such as podcasts, magazines and mobile apps, you will examine how media products engage audiences for a given purpose.

Creating Meaning and Engaging Audiences

Component 1B

You will select media products from one of the three sectors: audio/moving image, publishing and interactive, and explore how genre, narrative and representation are combined to engage their audience

COMPONENT 2

Develop Media Production Skills and Techniques

Component 2A

You will participate in workshops and classes to develop media production skills and techniques appropriate to one, or all, of the following media sectors: audio/moving image, publishing and interactive media.

You will follow the media practices of: pre-production, production and post production to re-imagine a media product for a teenage audience.
